Start a conversation, ask what you are curious about, or discuss an idea together.

Start with general chat in Shuffle, or choose language practice. Matching needs another compatible person to be available at the same time.

Use Message on a profile to write to someone. These conversations live in your inbox, separately from temporary Shuffle chats.

Ask a question when you need an answer. Open a topic for an ongoing discussion. You can read public content without signing in.

Before you start

Does Shuffle stop when I change pages?

Within the site, keep chatting in the small corner panel while browsing other pages. Minimizing it does not leave the chat. Closing the tab or a long interruption is different.

Are guest Shuffle chats saved in my inbox?

No. Shuffle is temporary and is not archived in your inbox. Use the methods currently enabled on the signup screen to create an account. Signing into another Google account does not automatically transfer guest history.

Does a nickname make me fully anonymous?

No. Others see your profile display name; check it in settings if it came from Google. The service processes account and session records. Private messages are stored on the server and are not end-to-end encrypted.

What about community governance?

Giving the community a voice in governance is a goal. Tokens, a marketplace, streaming and a presidency/senate are not presented as finished features. The current focus is reliable chat, profiles, questions and topics.

If an interaction is unwanted, use the profile block option or the available content-report controls. Choose carefully what personal information you share.
